Bren Kugamoorthy
Founder
Bren graduated with a Bachelor of Science with high honours from the University of Toronto while contributing to research, teaching, and training a group of college athletes. Upon graduation, Bren co-founded Elev8 & Perform while continuing to work in the sports landscape and speak at various events.

Ibrahim Appiah

Ibrahim played collegiate basketball at Point University, the University of West Alabama and Simon Fraser University. He is now the Assistant General Manager and director of player personnel for the Montreal Alliance Professional basketball and has managed Chris Boucher of the Toronto Raptors.

Scott is an Athletic Trainer & Therapist with over twenty years of experience in the sports and healthcare industry. He was worked with the Vancouver Grizzlies, Memphis Grizzlies, and most recently the Toronto Raptors before starting his own practice.
Dr. Kugamoorthy, MD
Founder
Dr. Kugmoorthy is a medical researcher and physician working in the Heart and Pregnancy Program and the Inherited Arrhythmia Program at University Health Network and The Hospital for Sick Children. Her research focuses on improving care for high-risk pregnant women with heart disease.

Paul is a Canadian sportscaster. who previously served as the colour analyst on Raptors radio broadcasts, a role he had during the Raptors' inaugural season in 1995, with play-by-play man Mike Inglis on CFRB 1010. Currently, he serves as the Raptors' colour analyst on Fan 590, alongside play by play announcer Eric Smith.

Dr. Santerre is an engineer who obtained his PhD in 1990 from McMaster UniversitHe was the lead material’s engineer on the artificial heart program at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute prior to coming to the University of Toronto where he is currently the Director of H2i and continued research in how polymers degrade in the body.
Mark Zanette
Technical Lead
Engineer, Olympian
Mark graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University where he also played varsity baseball. Mark has experience in mechanical design and manufacturing through work experience both during and after leaving McMaster. Recently Mark competed in the 2026 Winter Olympics in the sport of bobsleigh.
Dr. Tenforde, MD

Dr. Tenforde is a physician who specializes in non-surgical sports medicine. Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Tenforde was an All-American long-distance runner and contributor to multiple national championship teams at Stanford and competed as a professional athlete at the Olympic Trials.

Roman is a medtech executive and consultant with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the Ontario Cancer Institute. Over 25+ years, he has led the development and regulatory approval of multiple innovative diagnostic products, securing FDA, Health Canada, and EU CE Mark approvals for emerging medical technology companies.
